Pioneering Arizona architect James Miller Creighton (1856-1946) designed “Old Main” at the University of Arizona and designed and constructed the original road to the summit of Pikes Peak in Colorado. His granddaughter Phyllis Creighton Danby (b. 1924) is the wife of celestial mechanician J. M. Anthony Danby.
