Uwe Fink (b. 1939), at the Lunar and Planetary Laboratory, has made major contributions in the fields of planetary atmospheres, the surface composition of small bodies, reflection spectra, absorption coefficients of ices and cometary coma production rates. The name was suggested by S. Mottola and U. Carsenty.
