György Marx (1927-2002) was a Hungarian physicist and astrophysicist, a full member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, and head of the Department of Atomic Physics in Eötvös Loránd University. He was the winner of the 2002 annual science communication award of the Club of Hungarian Science Journalists.
