Magdolna and István Hargittai are Hungarian chemists and full members of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. Their main field of research is structural chemistry, having published over 20 books on this topic. They are both winners of the 2011 annual science communication award of the Club of Hungarian Science Journalists.
