U.S. composer Philip Glass (b. 1937) is known for his “music with repetitive structures”. His works include symphonies, concertos for piano, violin, timpani and saxophone quartet and orchestra, as well as scores for movie soundtracks. Among his two dozen operas are Einstein on the Beach and Kepler.
