Shen Chun-Shan (b. 1932), professor emeritus of physics and former president of National Tsing Hua University, has been a pioneering figure in science education. His books on black holes and astrophysics in the 1960s inspired a generation of young minds to develop astrophysical research currently in Taiwan.
