Eric Craine (b. 1946) has been involved in astronomy for nearly 50 years and has published over one hundred research papers and five books. His work includes quantitative sky brightness measurements, stellar photometry and spectroscopy, astronomy education, and medical applications of astronomical imaging techniques.
