Piers John Sellers (b. 1955), nicknamed Pierssac by his brothers, is a British-American Earth scientist, astronaut and Deputy Director of GSFC's Science and Exploration Directorate. He has researched the role of the land surface in the climate system, and advocated for mitigation of human-caused climate change.
