Renato Bernardi (b. 1946) and Mirella Ceccato (b. 1946) are parents of Fabrizio Bernardi, one of the discoverers. They were distinguished in their community (Quero) for their volunteering activities and the will to improve the life of their neighbors and people in need. They supported the choice of their son to study astronomy.
