Boris Ivanovich Romanenko (b. 1912) is a veteran of the group studying jet propulsion in Moscow in the 1930s. For many years he worked at the Lavochkin scientific production association. He participated in designing and launching automatic space missions for investigations of the moon, Venus, the earth and the sun.
