The main research activity of Italian astronomer Giovanni Pareschi (b. 1966) concerns the development of astronomical instrumentation, particularly optics for space-based and ground-based telescopes. Since 2008 he has been director of the Istituto Nazionale di Astrofisica Brera Astronomical Observatory in Milan.
