Lewis T. Seaman (b. 1923) was an engineer for many years at GE Aerospace. Great-grandson of a ship's carpenter from the age of sail, programs he managed built spacecraft including the first Landsat remote sensing satellite, ERTS-1, the first Yuri broadcast satellite, BSE-1, and missions of his beloved Nimbus meteorological series.
