Masahiro Yoshihara (b. 1928), of Yokkaichi, Japan, has been an amateur astronomer since 1942. From 1943 to 1951 he very actively observed variable stars. On 1946 Feb. 9 he was an independent discoverer of the outburst of the recurrent nova T CrB.
