It’s a lively and potentially volatile month ahead but as December begins, there’s no reason why you can’t enjoy yourself to the max and line up some new adventures for Christmas and beyond.
Both the Sun (identity) and Mercury (communication/mind) are in your fellow fire sign of Sagittarius as the month begins and this sets your sights far and beyond everyday life, everyday reality.
A typical trait of your sign is that you get bored easily and especially when you have planets in key sectors of your chart, widening your horizons and saying Yes to life comes easily.
Sagittarius rules travel, study, knowledge, new experiences and it’s prime time in the year to shoot your arrows high into the sky as you line up some new excitement. In fact, you might not have to wait long before your spontaneous personality leaps into action.
The 1st, 6th and 11th are jumping and whether you’re the one who’s initiating good times or you’re tagging along with other friends, the more you put into life the more you get back. Ring the changes and be open-minded to events and activities that you wouldn’t normally say yes to.
This month’s New Moon also falls in the sign of Sagittarius on the 11th, a peak date for starting new projects and lining up adventure for 2016. The go-for it energy takes you up until Christmas Day.
Sagittarius is the hedonist, the party animal and if there are any social occasions on offer this month, you’ll be the first in the queue. You’re ready for action now and in more ways than one.
Yet there are times this month when you have to question your motivations especially if you’re acting out of boredom or you recognise that your desire to be impulsive won’t always work in your favour.
The planet that’s full-on this month is unpredictable Uranus in your sign of Aries and this awakens your inner rebel, the side of your nature that likes to put your own needs first, do what you want and to heck with everyone else.
This might shake things up in a close relationship especially when Uranus opposes your ruling planet Mars on the 11th or it could signal a jerk reaction to difficulties at work and a desire to ditch the day job and do something more exciting.
It does depend on your personal situation what entails in the month ahead but it’s important to be aware of the tendencies and possibilities playing out. One major issue this month is the fact that Venus, the planet of love and relating, leaves lovely Libra on the 5th and Venus is strong in the sign of the scales.
This leaves your ruling planet Mars in Libra where it remains until the end of the year and Mars isn’t calm in Libra, in fact it’s champing at the bit. You have to take other peoples’ opinions and needs into account when Mars is in Libra and especially when you’re feeling impatient or frustrated with others, this isn’t easy for you.
Plus Libra’s the sign not only of close and intimate 1-to-1’s but enemies and people who challenge you in life. The 6th-11th could be particularly testing for your relationships, both personal and professional, when Mars clashes first with Pluto and then with Uranus. You’ll take no prisoners with this planetary combination and if you’re up for a fight or engaged in any kind of competitive situation, this indicates a clash of wills.
It’s not a soft, harmonious energy by any means and you’re going to have to work harder at your 1-to-1’s if you’re up for playing happy families over the festive period. At least there’s a Full Moon in Cancer, the family sign, on Christmas Day itself, 25th December, and compassion rules, even if a Full Moon means that emotions are heightened.
Yet the day to note is Boxing Day, the 26th December, when Uranus turns direct in the heavens and your rebellious, impulsive side is on red alert. This might mean you ditch the traditional family Christmas for a holiday abroad and New Year too would be a brilliant time to get away from it all.
Do take care however that you don’t throw the baby out with the bathwater if you leap into impulsive action this month. If you’re ready to change jobs or ditch what you do for a living this is a perfect time of year for change as one year closes and another door opens but at the same time it is important that you’re acting for the right reasons.
Same goes when it comes to love and relationships. You need a bit of extra patience this month if you’re to get through the festive period and still maintain a united front. At least Venus in Scorpio is revving up the sexy factor and some full-on swooning and flirtatious behaviour won’t go amiss. If all else fails, connect on a physical and intimate level and remind each other why you fell in love in the first place.
It won’t do you any harm either to focus on the future and line up some new energy for work or vocational goals. Communication planet Mercury enters Capricorn and your career sector on the 10th followed by the Sun on the 22nd.
