Astro Daily: January 16, 2019
The Capricorn Sun passes along the South Node of the Moon. Our experiences today may have deep subtext as well as roots in the past. Be open to sudden insights, especially as the Sun squares with Uranus, a planet that likes to shake up the status quo.
Don’t forget, we’re only five days away from a lunar eclipse and in that slightly otherworldly space between two eclipses. New things are coming into our lives; old things are leaving. We’re starting a new two year story while wrapping up one that began in February 2017. Lunar eclipses tend to put an area of our lives in the glaring spotlight. Pay attention to what’s coming up for you.
While you can get a better idea of what the eclipses are moving and shaking this month in my January 2019 horoscopes, here’s a quick synopsis of what the January 21 lunar eclipse will highlight:
Aries and Aries Rising — Identity, the self, creativity, children

Cancer and Cancer Rising — Money, income, what you own, material needs, spending, resources, value
Leo and Leo Rising — The self, new beginnings, moving forward, taking the lead
Virgo and Virgo Rising — The end of a journey, rest, retreat, recuperation, letting go, spirituality
Libra and Libra Rising — Friendships, community, belonging, social network, groups
Scorpio and Scorpio Rising — Career, responsibilities, professional life, status, direction
Sagittarius and Sagittarius Rising — Education, foreign travel, publishing, worldview, beliefs, law, philosophy
Capricorn and Capricorn Rising — The deep self, deep emotions, facing fears, the psyche, transformation, finance, debt, wealth
Aquarius and Aquarius Rising — Relationships, other people, negotiation, finding balance, socialization
Pisces and Pisces Rising — Health, wellness, taking care of the body, organization, projects, daily life, schedule
In the meantime the Moon is wrapping up its stay in Taurus. Our minds are on the material world, from food and pleasure to the money we have in the bank. Time to get practical about what we need to create stable, nourishing lives.
