It’s all going on this month so be sure to pace yourself and not take on too much or try too hard. It would be easy to go into overdrive now and let your workaholic nature dominate.
Certainly there are likely to be new opportunities coming your way and as soon as October begins. On the 1st there’s a stunning New Moon in the sign of Libra ruling your career and vocation, your status and reputation.
New Moons are a symbol of new beginnings and for some this will mark the launch of a project, a new phase at work, a promotion or new job. Either way, this is a go-for-it period when the wider you spread your net and the more open you are to new ideas, the bigger and better your accomplishments.
The other key planet in Libra is Jupiter, the biggest planet, and Jupiter remains here for the next 12 months. This is potentially the start of a successful period in your life so make the most of it and focus on what next.
Jupiter rules foreign connections, learning, publishing and the media. This is your chance to extend your network, to reach out and get your name heard. Whatever your personal dream goals, here’s your opportunity to work towards them.
One of the best dates this month is the 11th when communication planet Mercury teams up with Jupiter in Libra. This is a brilliant date for a meeting or interview or a good day to sit down and draw up a business plan and set some long-term goals.
This is what you excel at being a Capricorn. Think of your zodiac symbol, the mountain goat, who makes his way steadily yet determinedly to the top of the mountain. Keep your eye on the bigger picture and do whatever it takes to learn more, see more, experience more.
New qualifications, revolutionary learning, online courses; whatever comes your way now, consider it carefully and decide whether it will help you further your cause.This is all about stepping out of your comfort zone and stretching beyond what you believe is possible. Jupiter is the planet linked to optimism so adopt a positive attitude and aim high.
Another planet is also backing your efforts this month and that planet Mars is in your sign of Capricorn. Mars is the action planet; it represents force, power, courage. Not surprisingly, Mars likes the sign of Capricorn because this is the strategist who knows how to make progress and get things done.
The focus is on ambition this month and the plans you make, the new steps you begin will set you up for the year ahead.
Yet you will have to prove yourself at times and recognise where your priorities lie. There will be occasions when you realise you can’t please everyone. This might be evident during the Full Moon on the 16th which cuts across the Aries/Libra axis of the zodiac and the foundations of your chart.
Libra rules your work, your future and where you’re heading; Aries rules your home and family, your past and where you come from. Uranus is part of the Full Moon picture and this flags up an unstable period when you feel pulled in different directions. Trying to untangle yourself from past connections could be tricky during this period or perhaps you feel responsible for your family or unsure how to balance the difference aspects of your life.
The 19th is potentially an explosive time as Mars teams up with Pluto in Capricorn. This is a ‘do or die’ combination and you’re either all in or all out. It’s one or the other, no in-between stage. You might be called forth to step up a level, to wield your power or perhaps you recognise when you meet your own personal limit.
Don’t forget this month to play as well as work and have down time too. If you’re overdoing it physically or mentally, your stress levels will rise. Follow your ambitions but not if it damages your health or well-being.
Lean on friends now or the one you love. Venus is in Scorpio and your friendship sector until the 18th so ask for support when you need it. The 1st and 5th are potentially romantic when love and friendship are linked.
After the 22nd, the Sun enters Scorpio and there are some key dates for friendship and socialising later in the month. The 27th is gorgeous for an in-depth conversation or connection and the New Moon on the 30th also falls in Scorpio. This is the time to meet new people, to join a club, group or society.
You do need to balance the busy-ness of life with some quiet time, solitude, rest and retreat. Venus enters Sagittarius and the most hidden sector of your chart on the 18th and later in the month sits side-by-side with your ruler Saturn in this same sector.
This focuses more on inner work, learning to love yourself and ensuring that what you do in life isn’t entirely divorced from who you are. Focus on the personal as well as the professional in the month ahead because if you don’t, events towards the end of the month will conspire to slow you down.
There’s a lot to be achieved in October and it is likely to be the most pivotal month of the year for you. Yet don’t go hell-for-leather but pace yourself and decide what you can and can’t achieve.
