As December begins, there are two key planets in your opposite sign of Sagittarius, the Sun (identity) and your ruling planet Mercury (communication/mind). Sagittarius is the sign which rules relationships and after a potentially tough time last month, you can now move forward with ease.
This will mean different things to different people depending on your personal situation but it’s fresh starts all round especially on the 11th when the New Moon takes place in Sagittarius. You might be ‘starting over’ with someone close to you or have new ideas about love and relationships. As Uranus, the freedom planet, is in the mix on the 1st and 9th, for some this feels revolutionary and definitely spontaneous.
If you and your other half have come through a questioning period, this is the ideal time to line up some new adventures together, to have something to look forward to. Put a lot of energy and life into your 1-to-1’s and make the most of your loving encounters. Yet at the same time it’s important to be around people who are positive and to avoid anyone who drags you down. This is even more significant at this festive time of year when family are foreground.
If you’re looking for love, what are you waiting for? This is a brilliant month to get out and about, improve your social life, accept party invitations and work the mistletoe. There’s a romantic vibe at an office party on Friday 11th and the first half of the month is perfect for new introductions and first dates.
Mars, the passion planet, is currently in Libra and your romance sector throughout the whole of December and another reason to go for it when it comes to love and relationships. However, Mars does clash with the Uranus-Pluto duo on the 6th and 11th and this flags up difficulties with an ex or anyone who gives off angry vibes. Avoid people who are difficult even dangerous on the dates mentioned and you do yourself a favour.
If you’re in a relationship or married, Mars in Libra ups the passion factor but issues around sex or children need to be tackled head on early in the month. Don’t let petty squabbles or arguments spoil the festive proceedings so deal with difficult issues before you relax at home.
This is a positive month for work and money matters on the whole and December’s always a good month to look ahead, make plans for the coming year and remain philosophical about your work and vocation.
Draw up a plan for the year ahead and pay close attention to money and earnings. On the 10th and 22nd, first Mercury and then the Sun enter the sign of Capricorn and Capricorn rules joint finances and shared resources in your chart.
This is prime time to consider your financial fortunes and to get serious about earning money or paying off debts. Again this depends on your current situation but whether wealthy or struggling, taking a serious approach to money and finances is recommended. Sometimes when you have planets in Capricorn, money comes your way via other people, whether this is in the form of a cash bonus, an inheritance, a return on investment or a gift. It would be a good month to negotiate a loan or set up a new mortgage or savings plan.
Christmas Day itself highlights finances when there’s a stunning Full Moon cutting across the money axis of your chart. Emotions are heightened during a Full Moon but for you this indicates a lovely flow of money in and out. Someone might surprise you with a gift or offer that benefits you financially or you might be the one to reach out to help fund someone else’s dreams.
Work too has the potential to be fulfilling throughout December as Venus, the planet of relating, enters Scorpio and your work sector on the 5th. This puts the focus on your work and routine, your lifestyle and your health, and teaming up with other people will benefit you, whatever you choose to initiate to boost these areas of your life.
You might be teaming up with a buddy, someone to be accountable to and if you’re looking for work or a new contract or promotion, use your connections. Venus in your work sector is about collaboration rather than competition and the more you work alongside others to raise funds for a good cause or to improve your own prospects, the more successful you are.
Plus you feel happier when you’re working as part of a team which suits your sociable Gemini personality.
The best day for work negotiations, a meeting or interview is the 14th and by the 19th, you’re wise to be wrapping things up. You might not agree with everything that’s decided at work on the final few days before Christmas whether you’re called in to work a last-minute shift or there are personnel changes which affect everyone.
