It’s your birthday month and October starts in style with a New Moon in your sign of Libra on the 1st. New Moons are a symbol of new beginnings, a chance to start over, launch something new. This New Moon is the equivalent of your personal New Year’s Day so focus on your future and set some new intentions.
In many respects, this is a good month to take action, move forward and start making some key decisions in your life. Communication planet Mercury finally leaves Virgo and the most hidden sector of your chart on the 7th where it’s been since the end of July. Once Mercury is in your own sign of Libra from the 7th – 24th, it’s time to speak up, get the ball rolling, be decisive.
You might feel ready to share a secret or confidence, something private that you’ve been nurturing or keeping to yourself over the last couple of months. Expressing your feelings or emotions can be liberating and if you’re going to move forward successfully, you have to ensure that you’re not tied to the past in any way.
The biggest planet Jupiter is now moving confidently through your sign of Libra where it remains for the next 12 months. Jupiter is the planet of opportunity and growth, it represents freedom and is linked to foreign connections, education, publishing and the Law.
This is the planet that’s linked to playing big in life and taking risks so it’s high time for you to expand your horizons, seek out pastures new and live life the way you choose. One of the best dates this month is the 11th when communication planet Mercury teams up with Jupiter in your sign of Libra.
This could bring in good news and it’s the perfect date for a meeting or interview. More importantly it’s another powerful date to speak your intentions and to share what you’re doing next with the world.
At times this month however there will be opposition to your plans and it would be easy to hold back and stop doing what you want to do. The Full Moon on the 16th cuts across the Libra/Aries axis of the zodiac highlighting your 1-to-1 relationships, both personal and professional.
The other planet involved in the Full Moon is Uranus, the planet of unpredictability, in your opposite sign of Aries. So you’re not going to have the red carpet rolled out in front of you on every occasion this month. To do what’s really important in your life, you have to either convince other people of your actions or ignore what they say.
Don’t rely solely on one person either to help you in your goals as Uranus is the planet of splits and not everyone will be on your side. The 15th and 20th are both choppy dates for you when you’ll quickly recognise who’s loyal and who’s not.
Uranus has been in Aries and your relationship sector for some time so you’re having to learn that doing things traditionally or conventionally when it comes to love isn’t going to work. Relationships begin and end quickly when Uranus is prominent and what’s right for you might not be right for someone else.
Yet it is important now that you follow your heart and lead the life you choose. This is the message that Jupiter gives you loud and clear. Be true to who you are and don’t be held back by society or outdated principles. Be open-minded when it comes to love. If you’re not treated well, move on; if you enjoy someone’s company, find time to be together.
The other major factor that suggests you’re not acting alone this month is action planet Mars in Capricorn down at the base of your chart. Mars is your partner planet and in Capricorn, it lights up your home and family sector. This is linked to your past and where you come from.
Mars is the planet of urgency and passion. It’s full on and you can bring about change quickly especially on the domestic scene and with regard to your home and family. Push things through whether you’re moving or changing around your current accommodation.
You might be up against opposition here too however because Mars clashes with key planets on the 5th, 19th and 29th. Doing what you want is going to be tougher than usual if you’re being held back by someone close or a property transaction or similar.
It’s up to you to decide which battles you want to fight and where you’re ready to let go. There are no rights and wrongs but you will have to work hard to get things your way.
Money too could be a factor because your ruling planet Venus is in Scorpio and your personal money sector until the 18th. Venus makes positive aspects to Neptune on the 1st and Pluto on the 4th so get your personal money situation sorted out early on in the month, before anyone else decides to interfere.
Both the Sun and Mercury enter Scorpio on the 22nd and 24th respectively and they combine forces on the 27th. This is a positive date for money matters and to talk money. Be confident in your approach and move your life in the way you choose.
Finally, there’s a second New Moon in October on the 30th. This is a powerful New Moon for you because it falls in Scorpio and your money sector, but on the same day your ruling planet Venus teams up with Saturn in Sagittarius.
This is about laying down firm boundaries when it comes to money and relationships. Stand your ground, set your agenda and step into your power. It’s not the easiest of months but you are advised to keep moving forwards, whether you’re breaking away from the past or initiating a brand new future.
