Loving The Taurus New Moon
It doesn’t feel like the usual ‘dark side of the moon’ today with the Sun shining brightly outside.
Summer is finally peeking through here in the UK.
Plus there’s an exciting New Moon to look forward to which is coming round very quickly.
The New Moon is exact tomorrow Friday 6th May 2016 and this new lunar phase feels lucky and abundant. Here’s why:
New Moon Taurus
Firstly, the Moon is exalted in Taurus, i.e. the Moon is comfortable in Taurus. This is a safe harbour for the emotional, changeable Moon. It feels protected, safe and secure. Taurus rules food, produce, money and this combination caters for your basic needs plus allows wiggle room for some serious indulgence.
Check out the chart below and you can see that the Sun and Moon at 16 Taurus are in a planet sandwich. The planet of love and money, Venus, is also exalted in Taurus and is applying by conjunction to the New Moon degree. The Moon and Venus, the two feminine planetary bodies, are at home in the sign which rules nature and sensuality. This is an earth mother combination.
Communication planet Mercury is a different energy in Taurus and whilst retrograde, it can be tricky to find your voice. Mercury is moving back towards the New Moon degree. Yet all in all, this is a sociable bunch of planets and there’s strength in numbers. Be with other people in your life, make new connections.
Grand Earth Trine
The final piece of this gorgeous New Moon puzzle is the Grand Earth Trine between the New Moon at 16 Taurus, Jupiter at 13 Virgo and Pluto at 17 Capricorn. Jupiter rules expansion and growth in the sign of the harvest and Pluto rules transformation in the sign of work and structure.
This is the flat which trades up to a mansion, the antique discovered in the attic, the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, the fact that when you join forces with other people, miracles happen. Seek out the hidden riches, know that together you’re bigger and better and set some powerful intentions for this glorious New Moon.
The Week Ahead
There’s a lot to look forward to in the week ahead so make the most of the New Moon energy and set the ball rolling with new plans, new ideas. Wherever you want luck and good fortune in your life, channel this New Moon energy directly into it.
You have from now until May 21st to make the most of this earthy productive energy. Even with Mercury retrograde, this is the perfect opportunity to sow seeds that can flourish and grow in a few weeks time.
Plus lucky Jupiter turns direct in the heavens during this initiating New Moon phase on May 9th 2016 and the two benefics, Venus and Jupiter, come together in the heavens the following day May 10th 2016. Especially if you have key planets/angles between 13-17 Taurus, Virgo or Capricorn, you’re entering a productive phase.
