Planetary Rangolis to please the Navagrahas

Planetary Rangolis are wonderfully neat and meaningful geometric designs that are drawn in courtyards and altars before a home each morning by the women of the household. Rangoli is an ancient ephemeral art form practiced throughout India. Designs are drawn onto the ground, usually in chalk or colored powder and embellished with sand, rice, candles or flower petals. It is called as kolam, mandana, alpana, rangavali and popularly rangoli all over.
