This is not a month to go it alone and in fact, the friendships and alliances you make this month could be important not only now but in the year ahead.
The action starts on the 1st when there’s a New Moon in Libra, the sign which rules friends, group activities and wider society. Libra is the sign of peace and harmony and you will be drawn to people now who share similar values.
This would be a good time to get involved in a political or social cause, to connect with other people of like minds, to find your tribe. Your ruling planet Jupiter moved into Libra last month where it remains for the next 12 months. This is a key period to team up with others, join forces, widen your network.
One of the best dates for you this month is the 11th when communication planet Mercury teams up with Jupiter in Libra. This often signals good news and it’s a key date for a meeting or interview. You can learn a lot now from other people and this month’s astrology is brilliant not only for learning but teaching too.
Yet it’s not all straightforward this month and even though you will be building new alliances, you might find that some of your friendships or group activities are more disruptive. There could be some endings as well as new beginnings.
The key period is the 15th to the 20th when the planet Uranus picks up the pace. Uranus represents splits but it’s also the unexpected. During this period there’s a Full Moon on the 16th which cuts across the Aries/Libra axis of the zodiac and pulls in Uranus’ energy.
You’re likely to see your situation clearly during the Full Moon when the moon is at its brightest. This can be an emotional time but try not to get caught up in petty politics or squabbles. Keep your friendships true and take a stance on loyalty.
As your ruling planet is Jupiter, truth and justice are important qualities for you and you can feel let down if other people don’t feel the same way. Be around people who make you feel good about yourself and avoid those who don’t.
You might find that some of your friendships or alliances are shifting now and this is important for you. There’s a sense of new beginnings and a chance to align yourself with people who have your best interests at heart.
Romance could be part of this picture although if anything, October is likely to be a slightly chaotic month for love. Admittedly, you have Uranus established in Aries and your romance sector and this isn’t a steady influence. Uranus is the unconventional romance representing stops and starts. It’s exciting but potentially unstable.
Add to this the fact that love planet Venus is in Scorpio and the most hidden sector of your chart until the 18th and it’s a secretive time for love. You might be involved in an affair or perhaps someone close to you is keeping their feelings private.
Once Venus moves into your sign of Sagittarius on the 18th, then love comes out into the open. Anything private becomes public knowledge and you too feel more confident or sure about your own feelings.
When Venus is in your sign, this often acts a confidence boost. When you look good, you feel good and being happy within yourself attracts other people to you. Focus on your image, your profile whilst Venus, the planet of beauty, is in your sign.
The 26th is potentially romantic for you when Venus unites with your ruler Jupiter but a few days later, Venus encounters Saturn in Sagittarius. So you can’t keep love casual or you find out whether love is true or not. Saturn sometimes brings a disappointment or it can simply mean a reality check. Either way, you often have to commit or quit when Saturn’s in town.
Note too that after the 22nd when the Sun is in Scorpio, you’ll want or need more time to yourself. The New Moon in Scorpio on the 30th also highlights your need for privacy, quiet or solitude. Don’t run before you walk and pace yourself if life is overly hectic or busy.
Finally, money matters and this is because of Mars moving through Capricorn and your personal money sector. This is dynamic, go-getting and ambitious but as Mars clashes with other key planets on the 5th, 19th and 29th, you might have to fight for what’s yours.
This is an angry and assertive Mars so step into your power around money and don’t put up with bad behaviour or injustice. If you want to earn more, this is a month to go for it and to be ruthless in your quest.
Try not to get carried away with money, whether you’re spending it or lending it. It would be easy to go over the top now and take risks that might not work out in the long run. Be bold and courageous in your efforts but stay safe too.
There’s a strong cardinal energy in October, which means it’s a month to make some key decisions and to keep moving your life forward. If you’ve been stuck or anxious of late, it will help you to find a new sense of direction and get some welcome support on your side.
