The recent Full Moon requires us to understand that we are at a threshold state collectively, and about to enter a new world of experience. Adjustment, sacrifice, detachment, and self-awareness will bring great rewards that certify who we are and what we are to do in the future.

Major Aspects and Configurations

The Full Moon is the only forming opposition in this chart, though we still have Jupiter opposed to Uranus that is triggered any time a planet makes a forming major aspect to either of them. The good news is the polarization of Jupiter opposition Uranus was resolved through Saturn, and will be for many weeks to come.

Saturn’s powerful productive energy will be released through the forming Mars square, which initiates new Saturnine openings that we will make pleasing with the follow up Venus square Saturn that begins around Jan 18 just as the Mars square is partile. These squares from Pisces to Sag opens voids in Gemini and Virgo, indicating the problem (if there is one) and the solution to any friction or conflict that may arise under this gear grinding square.

The ideal of this square is to find seed knowledge that can be used to integrate our personalities based in the Higher Self, and find ways of spurring ourselves in some form of education through cooperative action. This square can help us consciously establish a stronger Soul connection, so welcome tests of strength, valor, and discipline if you find yourself “rushing into the circus arena.”

The opposition of the Lights is cut into a semisquare and sesquisquare by Venus and Neptune, throwing agitating energy into 8-13 Virgo. This configuration also shows that we’re all being introduced into a vaster Soul realm where we will be tested, and must stay focused on the details, the discipline, and the plan, combining our creative imagination with our ability to engineer the effort in an orderly way.

So the Jupiter, Saturn, and Uranus configuration continues to set up favorable voids across 19-25 degrees of Aries, Gemini, Leo, Libra, Sagittarius, and Aquarius, where inspired ideas and contacts can be known and understood. At the same time, even though the Grand Cardinal Cross is past, it’s still putting major pressure on planets we have around 19-25 Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn. Add the octile configuration set up by the Full Moon and Venus/Neptune, and there will be major movement involving planets or points around 22-27 Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn, as well as 7-12 Gemini, Virgo, Sag, and Pisces.

Clearly, there is plenty of friction in the days ahead, but it should spur us to personality growth as a vehicle for Soul contact. Follow through, carry the promise knowing it will be redeemed in the near future, and those who have shown courage in previous battles, even if you had to surrender with noble dignity, will be rewarded and recognized by Spirit, and maybe even the world.

As mentioned earlier in this series, even though some of the aspects are now separating, we’ve now entered a very long term Jupiter opposition Uranus with Jupiter sextile Saturn and Saturn trine Uranus that will be back in play when Jupiter goes retrograde in a few weeks. This should help us bridge past and future, established and innovative, and throws a lot of very favorable energy into Gemini.

This powerful building configuration was released just before this Full Moon by the Cardinal T-square made to the Jupiter opposed Uranus by the Sun in Capricorn. That has shaken up a lot, especially for those with planets anywhere near 11-23 degrees of Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn. Positive Cancer energy represents the solution to any conflict that may arise.

This Cardinal T will be back on the front page as Mercury, the Guide of Souls, approaches it’s conjunction to Pluto and then moves into the squares to Uranus and Jupiter. As with any conjunction to Pluto, things get fairly volatile and intense, and this Capricorn “magical underworld” energy will be the driver to integrate and release the long term “tension of opposites” involving Aries and Libra.

So Mercury’s contact with Pluto will concentrate the articulation of Mercury as it visits the annihilating, purifying, and transformative principle while grinding up against the expansive principle and the revolutionary principle. As I’ve noted in previous articles, Jupiter square Pluto requires all of us to be clear, open, and above board in making specific demands on situations so they are in our best interests. No secret agreements, no hidden agendas, and beware of opportunities that are not opportunities.

Things can be misrepresented under this, with expansive ideals likely to be derailed by realities beyond the control of the ones trying to expand. Uranus square Pluto requires that we see things in terms of motives, be alert to malcontents with no positive ideas, and interpret how and why the social order seems to be the way it is.

With Mercury still in its shadow zone, our ideas should be scrutinized, and those that lead to life embraced, and those that lead to decay should be eliminated. This will be an excellent Full Moon to cultivate a self-transcendent mental discipline coupled to a broader and wider vision of truth, purpose, and the future that will best release our spiritual Self.

Besides those already mentioned, other forming aspects include Moon quincunx Saturn, Mercury cutting a quintile to Jupiter and tredecile to Uranus, also using that “tension of opposites” to bring forth gifts, unique skills, talents, and insights, as well as a very favorable serendipity that will manifest in late January and mid-February.

We also find Venus novile Uranus, Saturn quindecile Pluto, and Uranus novile Neptune, triggered by Venus collecting the light. So we have quite a few non-crisis producing frictional aspects, as well as some specializing aspects and some spiritual series aspects.

All the novile series aspects bring forth possible spiritual developments, and we have had many in recent weeks involving both inner and outer planets, showing the world is going through a spiritual passage right now. This Full Moon “shakes the tree” and those who ride the productive wave of Jupiter sextile Saturn should be moving into powerful releases at the end of the end of a long cycle that will complete itself in March.

Of the specializing aspects, we see Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Pluto with at least one. As I mentioned in an earlier article, the Grand Irrationality is activated in this Lunation by Venus’ conjunction to Neptune. Given it’s been in non-stop activity due to recent eclipses and Autumn’s Jupiter’s biseptile to Pluto, which gave expansive force to whatever was triggered when Venus was in early Libra for the Solar Eclipse. Venus in the Solar Eclipse, then Jupiter in the Lunar Eclipse, with developments triggered during the last week of September and early October when Mercury moved through 1-6 Libra. Destiny was in motion in September and early October!

Venus just septiled Pluto right before the Full Moon, and now conjuncts Neptune. This is the emergent fork in the road of the Plutonic seeds that germinated in December and earlier this month, and secures 2017’s Neptune cycles. Mars has already activated Neptune for this year, and now Venus will help us value that which is worthy or beautiful in the cycle.

If you’re new to the site, briefly, the Grand Irrationality in play for over 20 years, and it has affected various generations at different times. Everyone has been touched at some point in huge ways. Spirit walks with this configuration, as well as any major septile series aspect between the planets.

The choices we make as a result of these non-rational aspects show us our “direction of destiny,” and determines if the Spirit will grow stronger and closer with you, or if you will move in directions away from Spirit. Given that most of this community is intentionally trying to live in harmony with Life, Nature, and each other, chances are that whatever you – yes, YOU the reader – are confronting will show you a deeper, richer, more powerful Spiritual life. Which is a good thing.

The North Node

This is the fifteenth Full Moon with the North Node in Virgo. Let’s take a look back at what we’ve been learning from past North Node transits.

When the North Node was in Scorpio between September 2012 and February 2014 we went through a long wave Scorpio process of learning to “shed skins,” and let go of echoes of memories of perceptions by taking a new look at what we used to believe. Factoring in the November 2013 Scorpio Solar Eclipse, we’ve all experienced “gain through loss” since then so that we could have faith, go deeper, and receive impressions from higher planes.

Saturn in Scorpio from October 2012 and December 2014 and the Summer of 2015 helped us intensify our striving in structured ways so we could unveil a life Mystery we were chasing for quite a while. This anchored a deeper emotional stability and magnetism in those who did the hard work of making Saturn their friend.

During the months of Saturn in Scorpio, we incorporated the old North Node in Scorpio lessons into our ongoing responses to life. Saturn also taught us to see a) how we have shifted our magnetism on relationships since then, and/or b) how we need to find a new view or way of understanding the losses and eliminations of the past we’ve been through.

The North Node in Libra symbolized our line of greatest development from Feb 2014 through November 2015. Therefore, the lessons we learned when Saturn was in Libra between 2009 and 2012 were sources of great development during 2014-2015.

Since November 2015, the North Node has been in Virgo, where we are getting pulled to growth through Virgo emphases. This is helping us grow via the Saturn in Virgo lessons we experienced between September 2007 and July 2010. Thanks to a year of Jupiter conjunct the North Node in Virgo between August 2015 and September 2016, we were living in a long term growth pattern of learning ways to expand our lives and effectiveness through practical methods, higher forms of service, learning about health on the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual levels.

When Jupiter was in Virgo, we began to expand into the “venerable standards” Saturn helped us choose to live as an example to others back in 2009. “Expansive attention to detail,” and finding the order and priority in plans and actions is now giving way to new openings related to when the NN was in mid-Libra, since Jupiter is now activating that sector of degrees.

Element Balance

Of the traditional 10 planets, there are 3 planets in Fire signs, 4 in Water, 2 in Earth, and 1 in Air. This month swaps the Water to Air balance of last month. We now have left the long term period where we had few if any planets in Air signs except the inners, and at this time we have a heavy Fire (inspiration) and Water (feeling) emphasis, with some Earth (Practicality) and almost no Air (communicating). This will shift again in a big way in late January and early February, when all the inner planets shift to Air and Fire signs.

Air and Earth are “cool” elements, while Fire and Water are “hot” elements. With this distribution, everything should heat up quite a bit, with the Light of pragmatic mature power helping things ground a bit, despite the continual need to navigate the fogs of Neptune.

More on how Uranus Square Pluto Has Ramped Up Radical Energies!

As I’ve mentioned off and on over the past 4+ years, we’re all learning to manage the “out of control” energies of Uranus in Aries square Pluto in Capricorn. For more than a few years, they have symbolized the global collision of ideas at this point in history, and from time to time have been at the forefront of the hard edge of the conflict between control systems and the forces of individualization that are calling everyone to a greater spiritual individuality.

Even though the exact square is past, we’re still dealing with the “mundane square” between Aries and Capricorn. These two planets are now both in direct motion, which begins a period when the square will wane, despite it being re-triggered each time either is conjuncted, squared, or opposed for the next few months.

Their angular relationship is now widening, and in this chart they are 93+ degrees apart, which will last until late March. This sets up a “dual-pulse friction” for the next few months which will be triggered by the Moon 4 times a month, with Jupiter setting up new T-squares after it goes retrograde and again makes an opposition to Uranus and square to Pluto. Jupiter will not finish squaring Pluto until September, so remember what I told you earlier about how to handle these energies.

Welcome to the 21st century of upheaval, transformation, and titanic collisions between a new world being born and an old age that’s digging in even as it’s dying.

That square represents the ongoing revolution of our times, with innovations and pioneering energies in conflict with restrictive and controlling power structures. We’ve been dealing with this for a few years, and it certainly introduced us all to a very “electric and eclectic” revolution unlike any seen since the 1960s!!

Uranus is now moving through a span of degrees it hasn’t transited since 1932-1934. Given what was happening then and the parallels to what’s going on now, stay alert to those who are impatient or petulant in wanting to change things in a hurry, as well as those who are willing to wage ideological war against others. There are promises to be redeemed later this year, as well as greater ones in 2017, but using blunt force to push will destroy the good that could come.

Saturn was trine Uranus earlier this year, but moved back to a brief quadraelftile in late May on its way to making a sesquisquare that dominated June, July, and August, representing the substantial “fire by friction” in our world. We have all had to mobilize in some way in order to reshape our perceptions so that we can redeem a promise in the future. When Mars trined Uranus in September, it jumpstarted events that will become part of our life structure as Saturn moves into the trine to Uranus, when we will redeem promises from earlier last year.

Saturn and Uranus are now in a separating trine until April, when the trine will form anew. Remember that the trine is triggered any time another planet makes a mutual aspect to these two planets. This Fire trine predominateed all of late 2016 and will through 2017 before they slip into an Earth trine in 2018. Great for blending the innovative with the traditional and the inventive with current structures! Whether a revolution in structures, or a structuring of revolutionary ideas and actions, this will help us all see the truth of the new era.

Saturn trine Uranus shows a time when there is a possibility of harmonizing the old with the new. It indicates a time when what’s established can accept innovations and individualizing impulses to open doors to a wider effectiveness in the future. This one takes what is possible and synthesizes it within a greater law of uniqueness or pioneering initiatives.

The Fire trine opens heart fires, and over the long run we’ll see this aspect unleashing a new type of artistic intensity, even for those who are not artists. The trine earlier in 2016 set an inspirational pattern wherever we have the middle degrees of the Fire signs in our charts, and this began to take clearer shape in October 2016. This will continue to be a major influence through December 2017.

Pluto has now finished its years of teaching us harmlessness, kindness, and magnetism that brings forth a more gentle set of interactions through the deeper transformations going on in our lives. Keep purifying yourself in every way, since the less sludge we carry forward the lighter and freer we’ll feel.

As we learn to master Uranus square Pluto, we will be able to see the true causes of any social disorder, constructive versus destructive justifications and motives, and see where mistrust and mischief-making originate. This allows us to grow into a greater power when we’re confronted by old Pluto roles, coercions, and heavy-handed corrosive behavior. We can use the square between Uranus and Pluto in two big ways, both now and into the future.

We can exercise good Pluto function to put the brakes on negative Uranian manifestations, and good Uranus function to put the brakes on negative Pluto manifestations. Look to the harmonizing aspects to each to show which is building and which one is the release point for those energies. In this chart, Uranus is specializing many things in everyone’s lives, so go with the new rather than the established.

The current sequence at present of Deciding, Feeling, and Thinking with an Overview of the Lunation

We’ve been through several different sequences over the past few months. There are six patterns, and each has their strengths and weaknesses. We shifted patterns again at the previous New Moon. As a process of moving through events, this Full Moon shows us that over the next 4 weeks the most effective “firing sequence” for approaching life and experience involves leading with our thinking, then deciding, then feeling.

This pattern leads with a vision, or an understanding, or a communication, and then makes decisions and actions based in those things. While it is tempting to move back into more thinking, communicating, and envisioning, it is more important to move from deciding or acting into feeling what we’re experiencing as a result of those actions and decisions, and bring those feelings to the surface of your consciousness and get clear about what you’re feeling and why.

By naming the feeling or experience, it will naturally lead us back to new information, new vision, new ideals, and new understanding upon which you can do your next set of decisions and actions. Then again name what you’re feeling. That way nothing will get bottled up through underuse, and you can move through experiences with power and clarity. And yes, with Mercury still in its shadow zone, keep taking a newer, more integrated look at recent developments, and many things will become clear in late January.

Saturn: Spiritual Master, Spiritual Friend

Saturn continues to be a major influence during this month and next, since it rules the Sun and is in the powerful opposition, sextile, and trine dominating current and future months. Summing it Up

The next two weeks will bring forms understanding about the importance of caring and tenderness in our interactions with others. When it doubt, use soft power instead of hard power, and keep the momentum into the future front and center in your consciousness. The Light will show us the rewards we’re due for our “courage in battle,” and the Moon will offer us forms of personality integration on the emotional and social levels of life. We are all standing on the threshold of transformation, where we can get parts of our life and being integrated so it is an adequate vehicle to express our functional Higher Self.

With Jupiter continuing to lead the occupied half of the zodiac, fairness, justice, balance, and a sense of what must be protested against because it is inherently unjust or unfair is expanding now. The productive sextile to Saturn shows many things and groups getting organized for the long haul, followed by Mercury’s blessing us to move forward into a more fulfilling future.

Venus shows us we’ve fulfilled an old dedication, and prepare to “enter the sanctuary” where our minds will be introduced to a greater and deeper “Soul realm.” Many will “take a walk with their wisdom,” or have wisdom transferred to them from their Spiritual Master, regardless of what form that Mastery presents itself as.

The tide has already shifted, and this one cuts us loose from many old ways. This Full Moon is about understanding and caring, as well as mobilization toward fulfilling a need, or family obligation. What do you care about? What do you need? Who is your community? Who is your family?

Be organized and flexible. Those who are open and willing to get their body, feelings, and mind all on the same page will find their integrated personality filled with Soul energy. It will be a great time to see how everything in the past was perfect for your integrated awareness right here and now.

This is another threshold Lunation, and continues to keep things moving forward as we turn corners. While there may be irritability, we are moving instinctively toward our “spiritual family.” It’s a time to know what is in our best interests, and how to take care of ourselves and what matters to us. Find the right rhythm, the right perspective, and take some time to get some rest and relaxation, since the generic friction of the just separating Cardinal T-square will mobilize the future in dynamic ways.

The Fire trine involving Saturn and Uranus is already established, and we’re moving into a period of blending the old with the new, the traditional with the innovative. This begins a year long period of renewed optimism, confidence, and heart strength, so accept a new identity, a new love, a new spiritual awareness, and a new spiritual expression, following through in finding and demonstrating the power of the radiant heart.

Because life seems to be a never-ending experience of out-breathing elements of the past and in-breathing elements of the new, it is useful to remember that when we are moving through major changes, when something is introduced into our lives, something else must leave, or has already left, to provide space for the new to be embraced. And lesser wisdom must give way to greater wisdom, and old forms give way to newer realities.

While sometimes having to say goodbye to older, lesser ways of life can be a drag, it is important to remember that even though life can occasionally be painful, we do not have to suffer. And as we learn to break the link between pain and suffering, we heal our part of humanity and the world.

We are Light. All things are composed of Light in various frequencies that express as limitless forms. Some light frequencies are of greater density than others.

All shadows result from light hitting a dense object. Psychological shadows too. Therefore, it’s good to become as translucent and translucid as possible to dispel lurking shadows.

If you must look at and/or deal with shadows, whether your own or another’s, then refocus your Light on the object being illuminated, since that form is the source of the shadow.

Find the correct 4 angles of illuminating whatever you want to focus on, and all shadows will be dispelled. Then you’re seeing things with an illuminated mind, and can act accordingly.
