What has surprised me is that there has been no response from the most vocal advocates of the Mayan apocalypse.  After all, they were able to raise thousands to make “documentaries” explaining that it wasn’t just the Mayans, but the Hopi and others who predicted the end.  Added to that were solar waves, pole reversal, the 10th planet (or maybe the 9th, now that Pluto has been demoted) and a cosmic convergence that would apparently send us a death ray from the center of the galaxy…
