Emilio Salgari, “King of Adventure” (1862-1911), writer of works that nourished the fantasy of many generations, was born in Verona and died in Torino. The father of Sandokan and Black Corsair, he wrote 82 novels and hundreds of short stories, translated into many languages all over the world.
