Tapolca, a regional center in Hungary since the thirteenth century, is a town near Lake Balaton with currently 20~000 inhabitants. Its 300-meter cave system “Lake Cave”, which is situated in the heart of the town, is a unique attraction in Central Europe. Tapolca is the birthplace of the second discoverer.
