Márton Ill (1930-2015) was a Hungarian astronomer and space scientist. He established the first Hungarian satellite monitoring base at the Baja Astronomical Observatory in 1958, of which he was the director between 1966 and 1990. His main field of research was the study of the properties of the upper atmosphere.
