Named in memory of Kiichiro Takahashi (1922– ), whose father founded the company Takahashi Seisakujo in 1932, and who started the production of astronomical telescopes in 1967. Many Japanese amateur astronomers have discovered minor planets using telescopes made by the company. (M 21133) _ _.
