Hokutosei, or ‘Big Dipper’, is the luxury all-sleeper train that connects Sapporo and Tokyo {see planets  (3473) and  (498)}, a 1000-km distance in 16 hours. The train passes through Seikan, the longest tunnel in the world. (M 26930) _ _.
