Gordon M. Sumner (b. 1951), known professionally as “Sting”, is a British music composer and singer. In the 1970s and 1980s he was a co-founder and a member of The Police. He has been nominated for four Academy Awards and has won a Golden Globe, as well as Emmy, Brit and Grammy awards.
