Yoshio Hisayuki (b. 1942) founded the Ube astronomy club in Ube City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, Japan in 1968. He was the president of the club during 1968--1974 and again from 2006 to the present. Since 2006, he has served also as the director of the Ube Municipal Planetarium.
