Wowser, this is quite a month for you with a lot of activity in your own sign of Cancer and not all of it easy. Plus there are two Full Moons which is unusual in one month and as your sign is ruled by the moon, your emotions wax and wane like the changeable cycle of the Moon.
When planets are in your sign, the focus is on you and it’s time to pursue your personal goals and ambitions, to consider not only who you are but how you come across in the world. This is a time when your image and appearance are more important than usual.
The Sun shines bright in your sign of Cancer up until the 23rd of the month and for many of you this is the time to celebrate your birthday. July is your birthday month. The other planet which is in Cancer throughout the whole of the month is Mars, the action planet. This is an indication to put more drive and determination into your affairs, to get pushy, to make things happen.
When Mars is in your sign, this is about your physical energy and ensuring that you’re in tip top condition. It would be an ideal month to join a Boot Camp, go to the gym or start running. Plus, Mars rules passion and anger and it’s important to express your emotions.
You might find yourself feeling crabby at times, or get more easily frustrated or irritated with Mars in your sign. Learn how to express yourself assertively, and put your own needs and wants top of your list of priorities. Repressed emotions can depress your spirit and leave you feeling weighed down.
A third planet joins the Sun and Mars in Cancer and this is the planet of communication, Mercury. Mercury enters Cancer on the 8th and remains here until the 23rd. It is not only a month to take action but to walk your talk, to ensure your words are in step with your goals. If you find yourself thinking one thing but doing another, then you’re out of step, out of tune.
There are times throughout the month when you might find that you need to rise to a challenge, be proactive, be more attentive to what’s happening in your life. This is because the planets in your sign clash with the Uranus/Pluto square. The most volatile dates are the 15th to the 19th and the weekend of the 25th/26th.
Pluto is in your opposite sign of Capricorn suggesting conflict, an enemy or someone opposing you. Uranus is up at the top of your chart in Aries representing your career, your vocation and where you’re heading in life. You could fall out with someone at work now or at least find yourself involved in office politics or caught up in an argument.
If you’re in a relationship or marriage, you and your partner might have very different ideas and priorities around work and where you’re both heading as a couple. The dates mentioned are when things come to a head and you can’t help but react or respond. You’re being asked to step up the pace, and to deal with the bigger issues in life head-on.
The lunations, the Full and New Moons, can guide you and point your way forward. Again they suggest this is a powerful month for you as the Full Moon on July 2nd cuts across the Cancer/Capricorn axis of your chart indicating that this is about you versus the other.
Emotions are heightened during a Full Moon and you see your own situation clearly. Trust your intuition especially with regard to any kind of partnership, personal or professional. The Full Moon indicates a polarity, needing to find a balance between two different areas or within a relationship.
The New Moon on July 16th focuses on you as it falls in your sign of Cancer. This is the astrological equivalent of your own New Year and a perfect time to set your intentions, to consider your goals and ambitions for the year ahead.
Most importantly, the focus is firmly on you and it’s a time to ensure that your own needs are met and that you assert yourself effectively. A New Moon is a symbol of new beginnings and a wonderful day to launch a project, to sow seeds and to start afresh.
This is also a buoyant month for money matters as one of the best astrological aspects of the year takes place on July 1st. This involves Venus, the planet of love and money, conjunct Jupiter, the planet of abundance and new opportunities. They sit side by side in the heavens in the sign of Leo ruling your personal money matters.
This is a glorious conjunction that promises happiness, gifts, blessings. Jupiter expands what it touches and this whole combination feels wealthy. It’s a wonderful time to gift someone you love and the law of attraction is in full swing. Jupiter remains in your money sector until August 11, 2015 so make the most of this bounteous planetary energy in the money sector of your chart.
Money matters are again highlighted towards month’s end as both the Sun (identity) and Mercury (communication) enter Leo and your money sector on July 23rd. When planets are in Leo, it’s a brilliant time to speculate to accumulate, to play big and trust your luck.
Plus, there’s a Full Moon cutting across the money axis of your charts on July 31st. Another indication that you’re in flow and it’s a wonderful date to make any kind of money related decision.
Finally, the other important planetary event in July is Venus turning retrograde on July 23rd. Venus remains on go slow until September 6th and traditionally this is not the time to marry or to indulge in expensive beauty treatments. You can’t hurry love when Venus is on go slow and it turns your attention inwards.
Be reflective, consider what you want when it comes to love and allow your partner the space and time to do the same. You have a big month ahead and first, you must turn your attention on yourself as this month is all about you.
