This Full Moon requires our willingness to embrace new heart strengths with an abundant generosity of spirit, go deeper into our connection with both the Earth and Spirit, and jumpstart the process of self-transformation.

Major Aspects and Configurations

While there are a few forming oppositions in this chart, as I mentioned in a previous part, the polarization of one opposition is resolved through Saturn, while the opposition of the Lights makes a semisquare-sesquisquare with Neptune, putting frictional ripples into the collective atmosphere. The only other opposition is Mercury to Uranus, with Mercury making a biquintile to Neptune and Uranus making a novile to Neptune. So as you can see, the tensions of the three oppositions are resolved a variety of ways.

The Moon makes an important biseptile to Mars, showing those who are receptive to the concentrated doses of spiritual energy represented by the Lunar Sabian symbol will have an opportunity to externalize the self-transcendence energy of Mars in dramatic ways! This represents a turning point wherever they fall and rule in our charts, and will most impact those with planets or angles near 11-15 Capricorn, 2-6 Pisces, 23-27 Aries, 15-19 Gemini, 6-10 Leo, 28 Virgo-2 Libra, and 19-23 Scorpio.

Other major forming aspects include the previously mentioned Moon semisquare Neptune and Sun sesquisquare Neptune, Mercury conjunct the Sun, Venus decile Sun, semisquare Mars, biquintile Uranus and semisquare Pluto, Jupiter quincunx Neptune, and Saturn trine Uranus.

Spiritual aspects abound in this chart! Besides the Moon biseptile Mars, we have Moon pentelftile Jupiter, quadrelftile Saturn, and trielftile Pluto, Venus septile Jupiter, Sun binovile Pluto, Jupiter trielftile Pluto, Saturn elftile Pluto, and as mentioned, Uranus novile Neptune.

Venus in a waxing septile to Jupiter puts that cycle at a turning point! Those most impacted have planets or angles near 6-10 Libra, 27 Scorpio-1 Sagittarius, 19-23 Capricorn, 11-15 Pisces, 3-7 Taurus, 24-28 Gemini, and 15-19 Leo. This will play out where you have early Libra and late Scorpio, and affect houses and planets involving Taurus, Libra, Sagittarius, and Pisces.

So really, there are very few forming harmonious aspects, with quite a few frictional aspects and a few from the 5th and 10th harmonic specializing aspect series. As I said, we have many spiritual harmonic aspects! The two septile-series aspects belong to the 7th harmonic series. The novile series aspects are the 9th harmonic spiritual series, while the elftile-series aspects belong to the 11th harmonic series. The decile, quintile, and tredecile are all in the 10th harmonic series. Also, remember that all of these set up harmonic resonance void points all over our charts.

As I mentioned in an earlier article, the Grand Irrationality was activated in a big way by recent eclipses due to Venus and then Jupiter’s biseptile to Pluto, giving expansive force to whatever was triggered when Venus was in early Libra for the Solar Eclipse. Venus in the Solar Eclipse, then Jupiter in the Lunar Eclipse, with developments triggered during the last week of September and early October when Mercury moved through 1-6 Libra. Destiny has been in motion in September and early October!

If you’re new to the site, briefly, the Grand Irrationality in play for over 20 years, and it has affected various generations at different times. Everyone has been touched at some point in huge ways. Spirit walks with this configuration, as well as any major septile series aspect between the planets.

The choices we make as a result of these non-rational aspects show us our “direction of destiny,” and determines if the Spirit will grow stronger and closer with you, or if you will move in directions away from Spirit. Given that most of this community is intentionally trying to live in harmony with Life, Nature, and each other, chances are that whatever you – yes, YOU the reader – are confronting will show you a deeper, richer, more powerful Spiritual life. Which is a good thing.

Other Factors of Note

This is the twelfth Full Moon with the North Node in Virgo. Let’s take a look back at what we’ve been learning from past North Node transits.

When the North Node was in Scorpio between September 2012 and February 2014 we went through a long wave Scorpio process of learning to “shed skins,” and let go of echoes of memories of perceptions by taking a new look at what we used to believe. Factoring in the November 2013 Scorpio Solar Eclipse, we’ve all experienced “gain through loss” since then so that we could have faith, go deeper, and receive impressions from higher planes.

Saturn in Scorpio from October 2012 and December 2014 and the Summer of 2015 helped us intensify our striving in structured ways so we could unveil a life Mystery we were chasing for quite a while. This anchored a deeper emotional stability and magnetism in those who did the hard work of making Saturn their friend.

During the months of Saturn in Scorpio, we incorporated the old North Node in Scorpio lessons into our ongoing responses to life. Saturn also taught us to see a) how we have shifted our magnetism on relationships since then, and/or b) how we need to find a new view or way of understanding the losses and eliminations of the past we’ve been through.

The North Node in Libra symbolized our line of greatest development from Feb 2014 through November 2015. Therefore, the lessons we learned when Saturn was in Libra between 2009 and 2012 were sources of great development during 2014-2015.

Since November 2015, the North Node has been in Virgo, where we are getting pulled to growth through Virgo emphases. This is helping us grow via the Saturn in Virgo lessons we experienced between September 2007 and July 2010. Thanks to a year of Jupiter conjunct the North Node in Virgo, we were living in a long term growth pattern of learning ways to expand our lives and effectiveness through practical methods, higher forms of service, learning about health on the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual levels.

This past year we began to expand into the “venerable standards” Saturn helped us choose to live as an example to others back in 2009. “Expansive attention to detail,” and finding the order and priority in plans and actions will now begin to give way to new openings related to when the NN was in early Libra, since Jupiter is now activating that sector of degrees.

Element Balance

Of the traditional 10 planets, there are 3 planets in Fire signs, 2 in Water, 2 in Earth, and 3 in Air. We now have left the long term period where we had few if any planets in Air signs except the inners, and at this time we have a fairly good balance between Fire (inspiration) Air (communicating), supported by Earth (Practicality) and Water (feeling). After a long period of strength due to Mars in Scorpio, Water (feeling) is now diminished for the rest of the year except when the inner planets move through Scorpio.

Air and Earth are “cool” elements, while Fire and Water are “hot” elements. With this distribution, everything should be well balanced, with inspiration and idealism slightly stronger than practical and emotional energy.

More on how Uranus Square Pluto Has Ramped Up Radical Energies!

As I’ve mentioned off and on over the past 4+ years, we’re all learning to manage the “out of control” energies of Uranus in Aries square Pluto in Capricorn. For more than a few years, they have symbolized the global collision of ideas at this point in history, and from time to time have been at the forefront of the hard edge of the conflict between control systems and the forces of individualization that are calling everyone to a greater spiritual individuality.

Even though the exact square is past, we’re still dealing with the “mundane square” between Aries and Capricorn. These two planets are now back in a separating trielftile, showing they’ve taken us out of the dynamic square and into a spiritualizing relationship where we have to find a synthesis of understanding despite the dualities of the friction.

Their angular relationship is narrowing, and by late October they will again begin to trigger the square. By late October they’ll be 96+ degrees apart, and by Dec-Jan they’ll be 93 degrees apart. This sets up a “dual-pulse friction” for the next few months which will be triggered by the Moon 4 times a month, with Jupiter setting up a strong dynamic when it squares Pluto and opposes Uranus for months to come.

During this time as planets move through mid to late Libra, Uranus will be 97 degrees wide from Pluto, but the planets making the square to Pluto followed a week later by the opposition to Uranus will “collect the light” and bring a T-square back into play, throwing the void into Cancer. How we have handled and are handling that T-square will have major implications for the seeds that begin to sprout when the inner planets conjunct Pluto and then square Uranus during their transit of Capricorn.

Welcome to the 21st century of upheaval, transformation, and titanic collisions between a new world being born and an old age that’s digging in even as it’s dying.

That square represents the ongoing revolution of our times, with innovations and pioneering energies in conflict with restrictive and controlling power structures. We’ve been dealing with this for a few years, and it certainly introduced us all to a very “electric and eclectic” revolution unlike any seen since the 1960s!!

Uranus is now moving through a span of degrees it hasn’t transited since 1932-1934. Given what was happening then and the parallels to what’s going on now, stay alert to those who are impatient or petulant in wanting to change things in a hurry, as well as those who are willing to wage ideological war against others. There are promises to be redeemed later this year, as well as greater ones in 2017, but using blunt force to push will destroy the good that could come.

Saturn was trine Uranus earlier this year, but moved back to a brief quadraelftile in late May on its way to making a sesquisquare that dominated June, July, and August, representing the substantial “fire by friction” in our world. We have all had to mobilize in some way in order to reshape our perceptions so that we can redeem a promise in the future. When Mars trined Uranus in September, it jumpstarted events that will become part of our life structure as Saturn moves into the trine to Uranus, when we will redeem promises from earlier this year.

Saturn and Uranus are now in a wide forming trine, which be their relationship for many months to come. This Fire trine will predominate all of late 2016 through 2017, and then they slip into an Earth trine in 2018. Great for blending the old and the new, the innovative with the structure!

Saturn trine Uranus shows a time when there is a possibility of harmonizing the old with the new. It indicates a time when what’s established can accept innovations and individualizing impulses to open doors to a wider effectiveness in the future. This one takes what is possible and synthesizes it within a greater law of uniqueness or pioneering initiatives.

The Fire trine opens heart fires, and over the long run we’ll see this aspect unleashing a new type of artistic intensity, even for those who are not artists. The trine earlier in 2016 set an inspirational pattern wherever we have the middle degrees of the Fire signs in our charts, and this will take clearer shape from October 2016 on through December 2017.

Pluto has now finished its years of teaching us harmlessness, kindness, and magnetism that brings forth a more gentle set of interactions through the deeper transformations going on in our lives. Keep purifying yourself in every way, since the less sludge we carry forward the lighter and freer we’ll feel.

As we learn to master Uranus square Pluto, we will be able to see the true causes of any social disorder, constructive versus destructive justifications and motives, and see where mistrust and mischief-making originate. This allows us to grow into a greater power when we’re confronted by old Pluto roles, coercions, and heavy-handed corrosive behavior. We can use the square between Uranus and Pluto in two big ways, both now and into the future.

We can exercise good Pluto function to put the brakes on negative Uranian manifestations, and good Uranus function to put the brakes on negative Pluto manifestations. Look to the harmonizing aspects to each to show which is building and which one is the release point for those energies. In this chart, Uranus is specializing many things in everyone’s lives, so go with the new rather than the established.

Thinking, then Deciding, then Feeling with an Overview of the Lunation

We’ve been through several different sequences over the past few months. There are six patterns, and each has their strengths and weaknesses. As a process of moving through events, the most effective “firing sequence” for approaching life and experience involves leading with our thinking, then deciding, then feeling.

So lead with your vision, understanding, and what’s being communicated and move those into decisions and actions. Then after the decision or action, sit with the feelings and experience them, bringing them to the surface of your consciousness and get clear about what you’re feeling and why. That will lead you back to new information, new vision, new ideals, and new understanding upon which you can do your next set of decisions and actions. Then again name what you’re feeling. That way nothing will get bottled up through underuse, and you can move through experiences with power and clarity.

Saturn: Spiritual Master, Spiritual Friend

Summing it Up

This begins an entirely new way of expressing our heart and spiritual awareness. We are promised a more abundant future based in the communications we’ve had the past two weeks, both within ourselves and with others in our world. The next two weeks will a) require various types of faith to overcome dualities, and b) will show us how the process of transcendence we’re experiencing will lead us to a stronger faith and ability to move into forms of personal mastery.

The Fire trine involving Saturn and Uranus is already established, and we’re moving into a period of blending the old with the new, the traditional with the innovative. This begins a year long period of renewed optimism, confidence, and heart strength, so accept a new identity, a new love, a new spiritual awareness, and a new spiritual expression, following through in finding and demonstrating the power of the radiant heart.

The repair and reconstruction work we do these next two weeks will help us do personality integration work and find a new way to focus our potential in concrete actions. Venus is heralding things and people to be eliminated so we can regenerate our connectedness to the Source. Jupiter shows hard adjustments and sacrifices so the rebeginnings may find the right rhythm, so even a meltdown can show that we’ve made it through the night. This lunation opens signs and signals of the future, and new dedications should be plain and simple to recognize.

Because life seems to be a never-ending experience of out-breathing elements of the past and in-breathing elements of the new, it is useful to remember that when we are moving through major changes, when something is introduced into our lives, something else must leave, or has already left, to provide space for the new to be embraced. And lesser wisdom must give way to greater wisdom, and old forms give way to newer realities.

While sometimes having to say goodbye to older, lesser ways of life can be a drag, it is important to remember that even though life can occasionally be painful, we do not have to suffer. And as we learn to break the link between pain and suffering, we heal our part of humanity and the world.

We are Light. All things are composed of Light in various frequencies that express as limitless forms. Some light frequencies are of greater density than others.

All shadows result from light hitting a dense object. Psychological shadows too. Therefore, it’s good to become as translucent and translucid as possible to dispel lurking shadows.

If you must look at and/or deal with shadows, whether your own or another’s, then refocus your Light on the object being illuminated, since that form is the source of the shadow.

Find the correct 4 angles of illuminating whatever you want to focus on, and all shadows will be dispelled. Then you’re seeing things with an illuminated mind, and can act accordingly.
