Úpice is a small town in northeastern Bohemia. A public observatory was built there with the help and support of almost all the Upice residents and has operated since 1959. Its main activities are solar astronomy and astronomy education. Meteorological, ecological and seismic measurements are also made there. (M 42678) _ _.
